ISDN 2e
ISDN 2e to you can be simply explained as being 2 x Phone Lines (a pair) within 1 box. ISDN 2e lines are digital and are mostly always connected to a telephone system when used.
Before broadband was common, ISDN 2e was a very popular way to receive a slightly improved internet service as it was faster than a standard 56,000 KBPS modem but with broadband now being available everywhere this service is only used on very rare occasions for internet access.
- Once connected to a telephone system, ISDN 2e will allow your business to use DDI numbers (direct dialing in). This allows your staff to have their own direct telephone number for customers to call into. This service is NOT available to analogue telephone users.
- When using ISDN 2e, our engineers will be able to dial into your telephone system to diagnose problems, make changes or upgrade firmware remotely. This can save a customer in engineering visits.
- As ISDN 2e is Digital, service quality can be noticably better in certain areas.
